My name is Omar, and I am five years old.

Omar was subjected to a bombing that turned his body into a canvas of wounds and scars, leaving physical disfigurements that have forever altered his features. His spleen was removed, and he needs tendon transplants in his hand. Today, Omar lives between chronic physical pain and profound psychological grief, after the war robbed him of his childhood. His story embodies the tragedy of civilians under bombardment, where no one escapes the effects of war, not even the survivors.

In a corner of a small room, Omar sits silently, watching his disfigured features reflected in a broken piece of mirror. He never imagined that a stray missile strike would strip him of a part of his body, leaving him trapped in a state completely alien to his past. The bombing that swept through his neighborhood didn't just destroy homes and walls; it also pierced his body, leaving deep, indelible scars.

But Omar's suffering is not limited to physical disfigurement;  Every fleeting glance, every whisper that reaches his ears reminds him that he is no longer the same. He lives in silent isolation, hiding his features behind a faded scarf, trying to avoid the eyes that constantly remind him that he is a victim of a tragedy he did not choose.

Omar's life today is nothing but a series of sufferings: chronic physical pain, profound psychological anguish, and heavy memories burdened with devastation. Although he is still alive, the war has robbed him of his childhood, leaving him to face a harsh fate.

Omar is but one image among thousands from the war: a disfigured body and a broken spirit. His tragedy embodies the suffering of an entire generation living under bombardment, dreaming only of a face free of scars and a sky free of planes.
